- Diploma in Business Science (equivalent to a master of arts in Business Administration), Helmut-Schmidt-Universität (University of the Bundeswehr), Hamburg, Germany.
LTC Arne Lossmann joined the Marshall Center in October 2010 and currently serves as the acting Course Director of the Program in Cyber Security Studies as well as the Department Manager of the Transnational Security Studies Department.
Prior to his current assignment, LTC Lossmann held positions as a program manager for different regions and departments in the Outreach Branch of the College of International Security Studies (CISS). In November 2019 he moved to the Resident Branch of the College as the Deputy Program Director for Cyber Security Studies Program.
Before joining the GCMC, LTC Lossmann served from 2007 to 2010 as S3 Staff Officer Requirements and Force Planner at the NATO Allied Command Transformation, Staff Element Europe, SHAPE (Mons), Belgium. There he was responsible for the development and enhancement of military NATO requirements for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD)/engineers and intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR).
LTC Lossmann is a recipient of the Cross of Honor in Gold (2020) and Silver (2000), of the Federal Armed Forces the Federal Armed Forces Medal for Services with EUFOR Operation Althea, the EU’s military operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2007), and the Althea European Security and Defence Policy Service Medal for services with EUFOR Operation Althea (2007).
