Bavarian Office of Criminal Investigations Talk about the Upcoming G7, Islamic State fighters during Marshall Center Counterterrorism Program

MUNICH (March 6, 2015) — Alfred Michel (left) and Andy Neumann (right), from the Bavarian Landeskriminalamt (state office of criminal investigations) in Munich, LKA Bavaria, talk about the upcoming G-7 Summit and the Islamic State fighters who are coming back home to Bavaria to the 72 participants from 54 countries attending the Program in Terrorism and Security Studies March 5 at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, March 4 at the Landeskriminalamt here.

The Marshall Center's PTSS course addresses numerous aspects of a threat that confronts nations around the globe.

The 41st G7 Summit will be held in Scholss Elmau, Krün, Bavaria, Germany, about 15 minutes from the Marshall Center, June 7 and 8.

The four-week course is designed for government officials, military officers and police administrators currently working in mid- and upper- level management positions of counterterrorism organizations throughout the world.

The mission of the Marshall Center, as a vital instrument of German-American cooperation, is to create a more stable security environment by advancing democratic institutions and relationships; promoting active, peaceful, whole-of-government approaches to address transnational and regional security challenges; and, creating and enhancing enduring partnerships worldwide.
