GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (April 15, 2016) – Thomas Frye, from the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations, who is currently the DHS Attaché to the U.S. European Command, talks about toxic industrial chemicals near population centers during his presentation on “Trafficking in Weapons of Mass Destruction” April 15 in the Program on Countering Transnational Organized Crime at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies.

Held twice a year at the Marshall Center, CTOC focuses on 21st century national security threats as a result of illicit trafficking and other criminal activities.

CTOC 16-07 began April 6 and will end April 21. There are 84 participants from 59 countries attending CTOC 16-07.

Later this afternoon, participants will hear about “Countering Cyber Crime” by Gregory Mounier, from Europol.

Next week, participants will learn about:  "Military Support to Law Enforcement from CTOC Deputy Director Special Agent John Fencsak; "Military and Law Enforcement" by CTOC Director Professor Steve Monaco and Clifton Everton, from U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service; “Legal Frameworks” by Joseph Wheatley, from the U.S. Department of Justice; “CTOC Fusion Centers” by William Kim, from Interagency Operations Center; and, “Integrating CTOC in Training Academies” by Miranda Khabazi, Georgian Min. of Internal Affairs.
