GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (May 2, 2017) —The George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies' Global Terrorism Community of Interest workshop (G-CT-COI 17-08) scheduled May 2 to 4 and the resident Program on Countering Transnational Organized Crime (17-09) scheduled May 10 to 25 are being rescheduled as a result of the U.S. government budgetary process.  

Travel arrangements for more than 140 participants from approximately 50 nations could not be made because of the U.S. Department of Defense budget rules prohibiting the commitment of funds in absence of a finalized budget or continuing resolution.

Countering Transnational Organized Crime (17-09) is rescheduled for Aug. 7 to 25. The Global Terrorism Community of Interest workshop (G-CT-COI 17-08) is rescheduled for Aug. 29 to Sept. 1. 

A third workshop, Countering Transnational Organized Crime Community of Interest (G-CTOC-COI 17-14) will be moved to another date to be determined.

Seventeen participants in the Marshall Center's English Language Enhancement Course for Countering Transnational Organized Crime who were scheduled to attend CTOC will return to their respective nations after their language course is complete.

They will be able to attend a future CTOC course as their schedules permit.
