BERLIN (April 27, 2018) - A Reappraisal of Security and Insecurity in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the neighboring region was the focus of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies’ (GCMC) first Seminar on Regional Security Community of Interest Workshop from April 23 to 25 at the Palace Hotel here.

The SRS core team of the College for International Security Studies, consisting of Col Jörg Kunze, Dr. Petra Weyland, and LtCol Andreas Hellwig, invited 18 Marshall Center Alumni from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia to bring their expertise to the table.

During three different workshops, these regional experts discussed current regional security challenges, validated the applicability of the concept of shared responsibility in security partnerships for Bosnia and Herzegovina and came up with policy recommendations to mitigate some of the security challenges and how to implement this strategy for the region.
