H.E. Atifete Jahjaga

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN (Oct. 8, 2020) – The Marshall Center Voices is a unique virtual forum where we invite Marshall Center alumni and special friends to share insights and knowledge on security issues that affect our world. This is an initiative by our professors Dr. Valbona Zeneli and Joseph Vann. The first interview of the Marshall Center Voices was conducted with Madam Atifete Jahjaga, President of Kosovo from 2011-2016 and a distinguished Marshall Center alumnus. We spoke with her about Women Peace and Security and the importance of women’s empowerment for national security and economic development. (DOD video by U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class. Mikki Sprenkle)
