Marshall Center Hosts ‘Transnational Economic Security Seminar’ in Belgrade

BELGRADE, Serbia(March 30, 2016) – The George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies is hosting the ‘Transnational Economic Security Seminar’ March 30 and 31 in Belgrade.
The purpose of this Marshall Center seminar is to enhance mutual understanding of transnational economic security in Southeast Europe by assessing economic conditions and developments, the impacts of major transnational security issues, and related opportunities for national, regional, and European policies to advance economic security in the region.
The seminar will include lectures, interactive plenary discussions and small-group breakout sessions among mid-to-high-level representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia as well as international subject matter experts on issues of economic security.
The speakers will consider and discuss policy options for the countries of Southeast Europe.
