Neu-Ulm University Students Visit the Marshall Center

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Feb. 18, 2016) – More than 20 students from the Hochschule University of Applied Sciences in Neu-Ulm, visited the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies Feb. 17.
German Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Mark Winkler, Marshall Center’s German public affairs non-commissioned officer, gave the Marshall Center mission brief to the students.
Dr. Ralf Roloff, Marshall Center’s senior German professor, gave a presentation on Russia’s relations with European Union after sanctions.
Then, German Army Lt. Col. GS (General Staff) Hans-Jürgen Lauer talked about the current situation in the United Arab Emirates.
The students also had a chance to have an American cheeseburger and other dishes at the Marshall Center Dining Facility on Artillery Kaserne
The visit was part of the Neu-Ulm University’s Winter School, which is organized by Professor Dr. Michael Gutiérrez and covers international and environmental issues in the economy.
Winkler conducts about 15 tours a year for Bundeswehr, local schools and universities, and once year for citizens from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area.
