COVID Impact on transnational Organized Crime (TOC) in the Black Sea region

The Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) Program conducted a virtual seminar with alumni participants in the Black Sea region as a part of its ongoing series of regionally-focused CTOC events. Participants from several countries in the region shared strategic insights about government responses to the pandemic, how TOC groups have adapted and exploited the situation, and lessons learned. Several key regional themes emerged as well as whole-of-government approaches to dealing with new challenges. This event provided a forum for security sector practitioners to exchange ideas as they seek policy development solutions in this unique pandemic environment while ensuring continued connectivity among alumni.
