German Army Lt. Col. Falk Tettweiler joined the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in April 2019 and serves in the Research and Policy Analysis Department, working on topics of special interest to the German Federal Ministry of Defense and U.S. Department of Defense. He also serves as co-chair in the Emerging Security Challenges Working Group within the Partnership for Peace Consortium.

Before joining the Research and Policy Analysis Department, Tettweiler served as deputy director of the Marshall Center’s Plans and Strategy Directorate.

During his military career, he served as counselor for security policy at the Federal Academy for Security Policy in Berlin, military fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, and in several positions in the Federal Ministry of Defense.
