GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (July 5, 2016) – The U.S. Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany John B. Emerson answers questions from staff and faculty during his visit to the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies July 5.

During his visit, Emerson met with the Marshall Center’s Director U.S. Army Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Keith Dayton, Marshall Center’s German Deputy Director Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Johann Berger and Marshall Center’s Ambassador Douglas Griffiths.

He also received a briefing about the Marshall Center’s mission, and resident and non-resident programs, and a windshield tour of the U.S. Army Bavaria – Garmisch Community facilities on Artillery Kaserne.

The U.S. Mission to Germany comprises the Embassy in Berlin and five consulates. The mission of the United States Embassy Berlin is to advance the interests of the United States, and to serve and protect U.S. citizens in Germany.
