GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Jan. 28, 2015) – German Bundeswehr Maj. Gen. Josef Blotz, director Operations Division at North Atlantic Treaty Organization Headquarters, visits the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies Jan. 28 here.

During his visit, Blotz received a briefing about The Marshall Center programs and participated in office calls with U.S. Army Lt. Gen. (Ret) Keith W. Dayton, the Marshall Center director, and Dr. Robert Brannon, dean of the College of International and Security Studies here. The mission of the Marshall Center, as a vital instrument of German-American cooperation, is to create a more stable security environment by advancing democratic institutions and relationships; promoting active, peaceful, whole-of-government approaches to address transnational and regional security challenges; and creating and enhancing enduring partnerships worldwide.
