Romanian Seminar

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Oct. 24, 2014) – The Research Seminar in International Security concludes today at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies here. More than 30 doctoral and post-doctoral researchers and staff from the Romanian National Defense University “Carol I” and the Romanian Police Academy attended this seminar, which was held here Oct. 22 to 24.

Objectives were to provide information, resources and support for academic research, strategic-level analysis and discussion of selected international security issues, as well as information on the broader activities and opportunities for cooperation with the Marshall Center.  The main Romanian organizer, navy Capt. Ioan Craciun, is a 2010 graduate of Program on Applied Security Studies, as well as a former adjunct faculty member for the Program on Security Sector Capacity Building.
