PLTCE 20 Oct 14

ELLWANGEN, Germany (Oct. 24, 2014) – The Bureau of International Language Coordination conducts its professional seminar Oct. 13 to 16 here. The seminar was chaired by Keith Wert and Peggy Garza of the Partner Language Training Center Europe. It was hosted by the Germany Ministry of Defence and the Bundesprachenamt (Federal Office for Languages).

More than 60 language training and testing professionals from defense language schools in 27 NATO and partner countries spent four days enacting the BILC vision: "To achieve levels of excellence where progress made by one is shared by all."  The BILC is NATO's advisory organization for language matters. Germany created the first BILC professional seminar 20 years ago to assist new Partner for Peace countries for NATO membership in the area of language interoperability.
