MSG Wolfanger, Rachel
Department Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC)
Master Sergeant Rachel Wolfanger enlisted in the Army in July of 2003 and has served in various leadership and staff positions including Brigade S3 Training NCO, SIGINT Advisor and Linguist Supervisor, Advanced Individual Training Platoon Sergeant, Administration NCOIC over military and civilians and Senior Enlisted Leader for 300 joint service members.
Master Sergeant Wolfanger’s assignments include 501st Military Intelligence Battalion McCulley Barracks, Wackernhiem, Germany; 704th Military Intelligence Brigade and 741st Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Meade, Maryland, 229th Military Intelligence Battalion, Presidio of Monterey, a second tour at 741st Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Meade Maryland and the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, Germany. SFC Wolfanger’s deployed for a 12 months deployment to Joint Operations Center, Baghram, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
MSG Wolfanger’s military and civilian education includes the Russian Basic Course, Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Advanced Individual Training Platoon Sergeant, Master Resilience Trainers Course, Combative Level 1 Course and Intermediate Russian Course. She has an Associate of Arts degree from Genesee Community College and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree from Excelsior College.
Master Sergeant Wolfanger's awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commination Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Ribbon (2), the Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 Campaign Star), and the NATO Medal North Atlantic Treaty Organization Metal and Good Conduct Medal (5). As well Senior Enlisted Military Performer of the Year award for FY17.
