Global Best Practices of Women in Countererrorism Report Released

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Jan. 18, 2017) - The George C. Marshall European Center’s Program on Terrorism and Security Studies released a report on the best practices of women in counter terrorism following a recent alumni community of interest workshop.
The report is a summary of best practices and lessons learned following the PTSS community of interest workshop held at the Marshall Center, Jan. 9-13. Sixty counter terrorism professionals from 44 countries participated.
The lessons learned include increasing women’s participation in traditional areas of counterterrorism, and ways to prevent and counter violent extremism and radicalization.
