The Language Training courses at the Partner Language Training Center Europe (PLTCE) is a five-week intensive program built for today’s warfighters. Designed to elevate professional-level language skills (ILR Level 2+), the courses prepare U.S. service members to operate effectively in joint and allied environments around the globe.
With a strong focus on listening and speaking proficiency, the course equips personnel with the linguistic tools needed for critical missions—whether conducting interrogations, gathering intelligence, or building rapport with local populations. Through immersive instruction and mission-focused scenarios, participants gain the cultural insight and communication skills essential for success in modern military operations.
Whether preparing for deployment or enhancing coalition readiness, the Language Training ensures our warfighters stay sharp, adaptable, and ready to win.

Resident Course Information
- DLPT score 2/2 or higher. Test date on DLPT must be within 24 months.
- FY26 course cost is $2,800 and includes instruction, meals, and billeting.
- Five weeks of language class equaling 160 hours of training.
PLTCE Dress Code is business casual.
Event Details
To register, prospective students must have their Command Language Program Manager (CLPM) complete the enrollment form no later than 4 weeks prior the start of their desired class date. CLPMs are the only approved individuals with the authority to register students unless a prospective student is remotely assigned and without access to a CLPM.
