The Marshall Center's resident courses are part of a redesigned program plan launched in 2026 to assess, align, and advance European-led security, deterrence, and defense through strategic analysis, skills-based education, and regional expertise.

Open to self-funded and self-nominated professionals from government, defense, industry, and academia, resident courses combine academic rigor with practical application, equipping participants to address contemporary security challenges and strengthen institutional capacity.

Courses bring together professionals in security-related fields to exchange perspectives, build enduring professional networks, and develop solutions that can be adapted within their own organizations.

Tuition costs vary by participant category and course. Final tuition rates will be provided during the application process. Lodging, travel, and meal costs are the responsibility of the participant or sponsoring organization.

Applications for Strategic Competition, the first resident course of 2027, are being accepted through Sept. 28.
