Christopher Burelli joined the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies as the chief of Alumni Programs in 2015. He is a 2002 graduate of the Marshall Center’s now-discontinued “Leaders of the 21st Century” course, a predecessor to the Program on Applied Security Studies, and a 2016 graduate of the Program on Terrorism and Security Studies.
Prior to joining the Marshall Center, Burelli served in the U.S. Air Force, concluding his career as the defense attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Bratislava, Slovakia. His prior assignments include serving as an engineer plans officer at NATO Joint Force Headquarters Naples, military construction program manager at Air Education and Training Command, and explosive ordnance disposal flight commander at the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona.
Burelli speaks English, German, Italian, and Slovak.
