Course Length: Two weeks (57 hours). Additional tutorial hours may be provided upon student request.

Course Prerequisite: Qualification of enrollees is determined by the requesting agency/organization.

Course Objective: Enhance and reinforce students’ communicative competency in Russian to enable them to perform interpreting duties with confidence. Success is measured by inspectors’ ability to perform their duties in a satisfactory manner, commensurate with their linguistic abilities.

Course Description: Program utilizes specific terminology, definitions, and verbatim passages from the CFE Treaty, which are routinely used and referred to during the inspection process. Realistic situational classroom exercises are based on actual inspection events and plausible fictitious scenarios. All topics covered during the Course are treaty-related.
