GARMISCH, Germany — Daniel J. Dell’Orto, acting general counsel for the U.S. Department of Defense, speaks about coalition operations from a legal perspective at the opening of the U.S. European Command International Legal Conference here Sept. 15.
The three-day conference, conducted by EUCOM’s Staff Judge Advocate with the cooperation of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, brings together more than 100 senior legal advisors from the ministries of defense of 26 European and Eurasian countries to discuss legal issues that affect combined or coalition operations, including NATO operations.
