German Deputy Director Dr. Horst Schmalfeld hosts Slovenian alumni reception
September 18, 2007
In conjunction with a conference in Ljubljana from 17-20 September, German Deputy Director, Dr. Horst Schmalfeld, cordially invited all the alumni to a reception on 18 September. Despite the inclement weather, Slovenian alumni and those graduates attending the conference, ”Lessons Learned in Defense Resource Management from the NATO Accession 2004,” gathered to hear about new initiatives and opportunities at the Marshall Center and to renew acquaintances. Also in attendance was the US Embassy Chief of the Office of Defense Cooperation, Lt Col Eugene Moty and Marshall Center faculty and staff.
Lt Col Eugene Moty (left) chats with former classmates who were attending the conference, (l to r), Lt Col Anto Zelic (LC 2000-5, EP 2004-5), Croatia and Ms. Bisserka Boudinova (EP 2004-5), Bulgaria.
Marshall Center Professor, Dr. Jack Treddenick (left) shares a laugh with (l to r) BG Jan Gavrila (SES 2001-2, SES 2004-6), Romania and Mr. Stanislav Vidovic (EP 1997-2).
Graduates (and perhaps a future graduate!) gather for a group photo with Dr. Schmalfeld and Ms. Barbara Wither, Alumni Relations Specialist for Slovenia.
