Air Force General Victor E. “Gene” Renuart Jr., commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command, shares his perspective on layered defense and the security implications of migration April 22 during the Marshall Center’s Senior Executive Seminar.
The Marshall Center, a German-American defense and security studies institute, holds the Senior Executive Seminar twice a year as a forum for an international group of policy makers to address an international security issue in depth. During the spring 2008 session, which ran from April 15-23, senior civilian officials, parliamentarians and military officers from 45 countries examined how migration into Europe and between European nations challenges internal and international security and what policies are most effective in addressing the challenges.
