A Marshall Center graduate-led Security Cooperation Roundtable took place in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on 24 April 2007. The roundtable was organized and moderated by Mr. Matin Karimli (LPASS 2005-4), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. Dr. Dragan Lozancic, Marshall Center Professor, spoke on “Euro-Atlantic Security: Challenges and Perspectives.” Marshall Center Professors Col James Howcroft, USMC, and Col Nick Pratt, USMC (Ret) also took part in the roundtable. This alumni event was conducted in coordination with a Marshall Center College of International and Security Studies Regional Education Team outreach visit to Azerbaijan’s Diplomatic Academy in Baku, which took place April 23d through the 27th. During this visit Col Howcroft, Dr. Lozancic, and Col Pratt delivered a series of lectures on the theme “Current Geo-Strategic Challenges.” The alumni roundtable was attended by approximately 30-35 military and civilian government officials, including 30 Marshall Center alumni.
