Alumni Gather for Peacekeeping Operations Leadership Seminar
November 27-29, 2006
The Conference Center, in conjunction with the Graduate Support Office, recently conducted a seminar entitled, “International Peacekeeping Operations: Lessons Learned.” The conference consisted of Marshall Center alumni, guest experts and professors in a panel discussion forum that focused on sharing observations, insights and lessons learned with a view toward best practice. Over fifty participants, thirty-eight of which were graduates, attended the three day conference. The conference, which utilized the growing network of graduates who have had experience in peacekeeping operations, provided a forum for exchange of information and experiences to enhance international efforts. Participants will be able to further this network through the use of a ‘community of interest’ internet-based platform where they can continue to exchange ideas.
