Approximately 70 graduates and invited guests attended the recent roundtable organized by the Bulgarian alumni in conjunction with the US and German Embassies. The roundtable entitled, ‘Security of Energy Transport Corridors in Southeast Europe,' explored both regional and global questions concerning energy security and was supported by Marshall Center International Liaison Associate Director, Ambassador David Litt with a keynote address and Marshall Center graduate, Ambassador Valeri Ratchev (EP 1994-1, SES 05-3) as moderator. Dr. Plamen Pantev (SES 2001-5) gave an overview of the topic from the regional perspective with a presentation entitled, "Security of Energy in Southeast Europe: Factors Influencing the Bulgarian Interest" and Marshall Center Professor, Dr. Roger Kangas, discussed the global perspective in a presentation entitled, "Energy Security: Sources, Supplies and Geopolitics." Following the presentations there was an opportunity for questions and discussion.
