James Kenneth Wither (VK) Dozent für Nationale Sicherheitspolitische Studien,

Im Jahr 2000 nahm James Wither seine Lehrtätigkeit am Marshall Center auf. Er ist Dozent für Nationale Sicherheitspolitische Studien und Leiter der Senior und International Fellows-Programme. Er unterrichtet sowohl im Forum Terrorismus und Sicherheit (PTSS) als auch im Forum für Sicherheits- und Verteidigungspolitik (PASS).
James Wither war Offizier in der britischen Armee und forschte zum Thema Kriegsführung im 20. Jahrhundert am Imperial War Museum in London.
James Wither hat einen Master in Strategischen Studien (University of Wales) und in Betriebswirtschaftslehre (MBA, Open University, VK), einen Bachelor (Hons) in Geschichte am Kings College an der University of London sowie einen Postgraduierten-Abschluss in Weiterführender und Höherer Bildung am Garnett College an der University of London.
Bei seiner Forschungs- und Lehrtätigkeit liegen seine Interessen in den Bereichen bewaffneter Konflikt, Terrorismus, nationale Sicherheitsstrategie, Beziehungen zwischen dem Vereinigten Königreich und den USA, Verhandlungen in internationalen Konflikten und militärischer Berufsausbildung.
