Croatian Alumni Association organize Security Roundtable

Over 30 alumni from Croatia along with approximately 20 other guests, some who were participants at the PfP Consortium’s Annual Conference that included alumni from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Romania as well as US, EUCOM and OSD officials, had the opportunity to hear a series of lectures which gave a comprehensive overview of security challenges in Croatia and Southeastern Europe.
A number of presentations were given that addressed the various aspects of security threats and cooperative security both in the region and globally. Marshal Center Associate Dean (GE) Dr. Detlef Puhl presented ‘Croatia’s Role in the Security of Southeastern Europe,’ and Dr. Krunoslav Antolis (EPASS 2005-6) lectured on the ‘Ideological Foundations for Terrorist Conscription in Southeastern Europe’. Discussing cooperative security and Euro-Atlantic security integration were Dr. Mladen Stanicic, Director, Institute for International Relations who spoke about ‘Global and Regional Impact of Cooperative Security in Southeastern Europe and Prof. Dr. COL Dario Matika who covered ‘Encountering Euro-Atlantic Security Integration.’
