Swedish Brig. Gen, Bengt Axelsson (right), deputy vice chancellor of the Swedish National Defence College, visited the Marshall Center Oct. 30 and 31 During his visit, Axelsson observed the Program on Applied Security Studies, and talked with Marshall Center Director Lt. Gen. Keith Dayton and the Partners for Peace Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Studies.  General Axelsson serves as Sweden’s representative to the PfPC’s Senior Advisory Council.  He and his team discussed with the PfPC mutual areas of interest and all parties pledged to cooperate in a number of PfPC working groups, to include combating terrorism, emerging security challenges, comprehensive approach, security sector reform, advanced distributed learning, and the Defense Education Enhancement Program.
