Student AffairsUpon arrival at the Marshall Center, participants will receive a complete list of student policies and support information. Listed below are policies that future students should consider when planning to come to the Marshall Center.
Uniform and dress requirement
The weekly course calendar will specify the uniform for each day. Military personnel are required to wear their service “office” uniforms (not field uniform) to class, and civilians should be dressed in business attire. On some days, full military service dress or coat and tie are required. Most days, however, students will be dressed in the "business casual" style, which for men consists of a dress shirt, dress pants and dress shoes or the military uniform equivalent.
Guests
Participants who wish to invite a guest to the Marshall Center for a brief visit or to attend a special event (such as graduation) must submit a request for visitor access onto the Marshall Center to the Student Liaison office at least four working days in advance of the visit. Guest names will then be temporarily added to the Marshall Center access roster and they will only need to present their passport to the guards to enter the installation on the requested days. Guests are not allowed to stay overnight in the residence halls.

Health Insurance
Emergency medical insurance is a requirement for receipt of a Schengen States visa for admittance to the Federal Republic of Germany, and mandatory for attendance at the Marshall Center courses. If course participants require a Schengen visa to come to Germany, emergency medical insurance will be issued by the Marshall Center for the entire length of the course. Please note that this insurance only covers emergencies. Routine (example: a common cold) or pre-existing medical issues are not covered. If course participants do not require a Schengen visa to come to Germany, the participant is responsible for purchasing emergency medical insurance for the entire course.
