Das Alumni-Büro wurde 1998 als Kontaktadresse für die Absolventen des Marshall Center eingerichtet. Hier werden erfahren sie, was es Neues gibt, erhalten Informationen und können Dienstleistungen in Anspruch nehmen. Die Interessenvertreter des Marshall Center in Deutschland und den Vereinigten Staaten werden über den weiteren beruflichen Werdegang der Alumni auf dem Laufenden gehalten.
Um der wachsenden Nachfrage gerecht zu werden, weitet sich der Aufgabenbereich des Alumni-Büros ständig aus. Mittlerweile sind hier acht Vollzeitkräfte tätig, die unter anderem Alumni-Veranstaltungen in Partnerländern organisieren und mehrtätige Konferenzen sowie Seminare und Workshops zu den unterschiedlichsten Themen im Bereich Sicherheit ausrichten. Dazu kommt täglich der Versand des Email-Rundbriefs des Forums Terrorismus und Sicherheit. Mittlerweile ist die Zahl der Alumni auf über 6.000 gestiegen. Unter ihnen sind zahlreiche politische und militärische Entscheidungsträger sowie Beamte in Dutzenden von Ministerien in etwa 110 Partnerländern. Das Motto des Alumni-Büro lautet „Kontakt, Kommunikation und Kooperation“. So leistet es gemeinsam mit den Alumni einen Beitrag zu einer stabileren Welt.
In das Marshall Center Wissensportal können sich die Alumni mit einem Kennwort von überall per Internet einloggen. Dieses Wissensportal ermöglicht ihnen sowie den Mitarbeitern und Partnern des Marshall Center miteinander in Kontakt zu bleiben, über ihre weitere berufliche Laufbahn zu berichten, Neuigkeiten auszutauschen, aktuelle Themen in Studiengruppen zu diskutieren sowie Rundbriefe und Materialien herunterzuladen, die im Marshall Center oder bei einer der zahlreichen Veranstaltungen präsentiert werden. Darüber hinaus bietet das Wissensportal den Nutzern Zugang zu über 20 kommerziellen Nachrichten- und Informationsdatenbanken, die Artikel und Forschungsberichte aus tausenden von Fachzeitschriften in voller Länge und mehreren Sprachen veröffentlichen. More than 60 inter-ministerial, security professionals gathered at the Army House in Sarajevo to discuss NATO membership responsibilities Feb. 22. Among the guests were the ministers of defense, foreign affairs and security as well as the commandant, NATO HQ Sarajevo and the Norwegian ambassador to BiH. Besides the Marshall Center 27 alumni who attended there were representatives from the ministry of interior, US Embassy, NGOs, the University of Sarajevo, OSCE, UNDP and the media.

Colonel Oleh Poshedin (EP 2004-5), the chief of the International Relations and Euro-Atlantic Integration Department at the National Defense Academy of Ukraine, has been selected as the graduate of the month for the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies for February 2010.
Poshedin, who graduated from the Military Academy in 1983, has served in a wide variety of military assignments, to include participating in relief operations following the 1986 Chernobyl Atomic Power Station catastrophe. The Marshall Center has named Mr. Alvaro Ballesteros as featured Graduate of the Month for November.
Mr. Alvaro Ballesteros attended the Marshall Center LPASS 2007-4 course while assigned as the Executive Director, European Academy for International Training (EAIT), Granada, Spain. He then went on to assume duties as a Security Issues Expert in the Department of Security Awareness Issues at the OSCE Mission in UNMIK/Kosovo. On 01 April 2009, he assumed the position of Senior Political Officer/Liaison Officer for the OSCE Kosovo Mission in Belgrade, Serbia.

On 29 October 2009 the Marshall Center Alumni Association of Azerbaijan, in conjunction with the Marshall Center, the MOD and U.S. Embassy Baku held a roundtable entitled “The Current Situation in Afghanistan.”
Fifteen Marshall Center alumni participated in the roundtable, representing MOD, MFA, Ministry of National Security, Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Border Service. The event took place in the Park Inn Hotel, Baku.

On Sep 24 alumni gathered for their second roundtable this year to hear a panel discussion entitled, “Current Situation in Afghanistan.” The panel included three topics: warfare, economy and politics and was led by Prof. James Wither, Dr. Jack Treddenick and Dr. Ann Phillips respectively.
Association General Secretary LTC Milan Tepsic (LC2002-3, EPASS 2007-1) was the roundtable's chief organizer and served as the master of ceremonies for the event. The Marshall Center has named Ambassador Petr Voznica of the Czech Republic as featured Graduate of the Month for October.
Ambassador Voznica, in addition to his noteworthy diplomatic service, is a retired major general of the Czech Armed Forces with a PhD in Operational Skills and Tactics. He first graduated with a degree in Military Chemistry from the Military College of Ground Forces in Vyškov na Moravě in 1977, followed by the completion of postgraduate degrees at the Military Academy in Brno in 1987. The Marshall Center has named Minister of Defense Dr. Selmo Cikotic from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) as featured Graduate of the Month for Sep 2009.
Dr. Cikotic was appointed Minister of Defense in 2007 after retiring from the army in 2004 as Brigadier. Dr. Cikotic began his army career in the education center in Zadar, Croatia after attending both military school in Serbia and military academy in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. In 1992 he became a member of the Army of the Republic of BiH and in 1994 was posted to the United States as their defense and military attaché. Mr. Robert Johnson, Supervisory Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, has been named as the featured Marshall Center Graduate of the Month for August 2009.
Mr. Johnson attended the Marshall Center Program on Terrorism and Security Studies (PTSS 07-2) in 2007. In 2009 he returned to Garmisch-Partenkirchen as an Adjunct Faculty member for PTSS 09-7. This was in accordance with a new initiative to invite select security experts from the FBI to join the Marshall Center faculty during the PTSS courses to help share their knowledge and experience with the course participants.

The Marshall Center has named COL J. Enkhbayar from Mongolia as featured Graduate of the Month for July 2009. COL J. Enkhbayar is the deputy head of studies, Defense University of Mongolia. A professor and candidate of sciences, COL J. Enkhbayar was appointed to this position in 2007.
COL J. Enkhbayar graduated from the Marshall Center’s Program in Advanced Security Studies (EPASS) 2006-7, as a senior researcher and associate professor in the Defense Research Institute, Defense University of Mongolia. On behalf of Brig. Gen. Tracy Garrett, commanding general, Marine Forces Europe/ Marine Forces Africa, the Marshall Center organized a conference July 23-24 in Freising, Germany to advance the discussion of the future of expeditionary operations in Europe.
